In The Shadows of Stardom: A Series
December 20, 2015 § 2 Comments
As most of you regular readers know the best values are found in the shadows of stardom.
The wine world is governed by supply and demand just like any other industry. For the most part this simple economic foundation is why prices vary so greatly from winery to winery, varietal to varietal, and region to region.
To that end I will be, from time to time, writing a series of posts that speaks to the history, beauty and flavour of a particular region, while also pointing out great values from that region. The regions will all be ones you know like Tuscany (Chianti, Brunello), Barossa, Napa Valley, Bordeaux, etc.
If this is something you will find interesting please let me know by making your feelings known in the comments.
Cheers

Excellent idea. There are lots of wines to admire from so called “lessor” regions. Looking forward to it.
